Fermently started with a simple LinkedIn post.
The intention was not to build a “community,” but to create a space where people working with fermentation could speak honestly about real challenges—technical, operational, and organizational.
That post sparked conversations.
Those conversations turned into connections.
And those connections led to our first in-person Fermently event, sponsored by Benchling.
The room was full. The discussions were sharp. The energy was real.
What became clear is this:
the fermentation industry doesn’t need more polished marketing or abstract theory. It needs places where practitioners can think together, challenge assumptions, and work on the problems that actually slow progress.
Fermently exists to bring people together—curiously, collectively, and creatively—to face the biggest fermentation challenges of our time and move solutions forward.
We do this through events, long-form thinking, and shared learning across disciplines.
If you work with fermentation and care about doing it better, Fermently is for you.
